It is with great sadness we announce that our father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, has gone home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
Calvin was predeceased by his Mother and Father -Effie and Willam Sr. Kennedy, Wife Patsy Kennedy, Brother William Jr. Kennedy, Sister Beulah Peddle, Niece Angela Ricks, Brothers-in-law Wince Tremblett, Aiden Hynes, Al Hynes, Robert Peddle, and many more family and friends.
Left to mourn are his Sons Kevin (Tammy) Kennedy, and Craig Kennedy (Shelly), Sister’s Lorraine (Harvey) Peddle, and Vonnie (Robert) Peddle. Grandchildren Jake, Noah, Keanna, and Alex; Sisters-in-law Joyce Hynes, Geraldine Hynes, and Jean. He also leaves a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Special thanks and appreciation to Chancellor Park as they provided Calvin and his family much needed care over the past 3 years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Calvin Kennedy was born August 21, 1946 and was raised in Little Catalina before moving to Bonavista to start his life with Patsy Kennedy for more than 50 years. He was very faithful to his family and his church. Calvin was the flag Sargent at The Salvation Army Bonavista Corps. He worked at the Fish Plant for several years where he loved to joke around with his co-workers. He was always there to make someone smile or laugh. He really enjoyed going moose hunting and fishing.
The family will receive visitors on Friday 2-4 and 7-9, Saturday 2-4 and 7-9. The service will be Sunday August 18th, 2024 at 2:00pm.
