Mr. Eldon Harvey Snow of Clarkes Beach, passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Mr. Snow was 83 years old.
He leaves to mourn his loving family:
Wife of 58 years: Pauline
Children: Brian (Melvina) of Labrador City, Lynn Ann (Christopher) of Ottawa & Paul of Calgary
Grandchildren: Christie, Christopher, Trevor & Matthew
Great Grandchildren: Ryder & Grayson
Sister-in-law: Ann

Mr. Snow was born and raised in Clarkes Beach. After finishing his education, he taught school for 5 years before moving to Labrador City to work with IOC. He worked there from 1965 to 1998. While there, he a coach for hockey and enjoyed cross country skiing. He had many fond memories of his years in Labrador City. Upon retirement Eldon moved back to Clarkes Beach and built his home. He enjoyed many years in Clarkes Beach living on the land where he grew up.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard his call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found my peace at the close of day.
I know my parting has left a void,
But fill it with remembered joy,
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
O yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
My life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times,
A loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts, and smile with me,
God wanted me, and now I’m Free.
To abide by Mr. Snow’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.
