Isaac (Ike) Henry Pankratz of Watrous Saskatchewan, passed away on April 2, 2024 in the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 79.
He is survived by wife Linda Pankratz, sons Eric Pankratz (Brandon, Grace), Keith (Karen) Pankratz (Jessica (Ben), Simon (Rylee), Micah), David (Kathryn) Pankratz (Isaac, Ethan). Ike had 4 siblings John (Stella), Justina (Heinz) Heese, Nettie Bartel, Jake (Margret) Pankratz.
Ike was predeceased by parents Jacob and Margret Pankratz and brother John Pankratz.
Ike was born and raised on a farm north of Watrous Saskatchewan on October 26, 1944. He married his wife Linda and they raised their three boys in the community. Ike was a pillar of the community, serving in many capacities including within the church as a deacon, with his wife of almost 53 years by his side. Ike found joy in fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. Ike will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Ike believed in the salvation that only comes from our Lord Jesus Christ, and we take comfort in the assurance that he is at peace with the Lord.
A celebration of life will be held at the Philadelphia Church in Watrous at 2:00pm on Friday April 12th 2024. . Interment will take place in Philadelphia Mennonite Cemetery.
