Sidney Nicotine Obituary
Sidney Nicotine, Father, Mosom, Brother, Uncle, Friend and Coach. He was a great man, one of a kind and a man of all trades by people he came across. He left a mark on all of us deeply. His dedication and kindness will live on and always be remembered by the people he came across during his journey. He enjoyed a lot of things, had a lot of hobbies but what he enjoyed the most was visiting family and friends and playing fastball and hockey. Not only in Canada, but in the United States too. Sidney was also known as a bingo dabber and Garlic. It’s a long story but let’s just say he loved playing bingo and eating garlic. He’s had a passion for driving bus for Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation School for over 30 years. He also drove for the children in nursery for a lot of years. He had a passion for coaching hockey, baseball, and soccer for the community of Makwa Sahgaiehcan during his “younger” years. He also worked for DNR/SERM for over 30 years. He’s travelled a lot and liked to go to pow wows all over Saskatchewan and Alberta. Sidney was a well known man, he had a lot of friends during his journey. He was dependable, and a great friend to count on, he was always there to lend a helping hand. and that was ALWAYS. He was the first person to put everything aside and come to the rescue. He was the most loving and honorable man you could ever meet. For those that met him are very lucky individuals. He had a sense of humour for all his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Sidney passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Loon Lake Health Centre, Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation Saskatchewan at the age of 80 years.
Sidney is forever loved and remembered by his Children Winston Wahobin (Cindia), Aldina (Paul ) Wahobin, Glen Thundervoice (Marlis), Jason Thundervoice, Rose Thundervoice, and Travis Moccasin; Grandchildren Guylis, Kyle, Tania, Vinette, Georgette, Ashley, Jaden, Twyila, Sequin,Reese, and Brylen; As well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Sidney was predeceased by his Spouse Inez; Daughters Cleo and Iris; Mother Francis; Adopted Father George; Biological Father Mike; Brother Solomon; Sisters Sophie, Katherine, Lorna and Rita.
A Wake Service will begin on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Simon and Alma Kytwayhat Community Hall, Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, SK
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Simon and Alma Kytwayhat Community Hall, Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, SK
