Judy Elaine Szeman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully from complications of ALS on August 6th, 2024, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 66 with her family by her side.Born on January 19th, 1958, in Porcupine Plain SK, Judy grew up on the farm in Carragana, SK. Judy was the cherished daughter of Pearl and Thomas Moore. She grew up alongside her siblings, Linda Taylor and Sandra Jasper.In her earlier years, Judy lived in Prince Albert, where she met her loving husband, Lorne Szeman. They married on April 10th, 1982 and together they started a beautiful family.Judy spent over 30 years of her professional life working at the Bank of Montreal, where she made lasting connections. However, her true joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren. She adored her children, Becky and Curtis, her son-in law Dustin, and daughter-in-law Sherae. Judy also took immense pride in being a grandma to Quinn, Nova and Jaxson.Judy’s infectious smile, giggle, and joyful nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her positive outlook on life and ability to find happiness in every moment made her a true inspiration. Judy’s legacy will forever live on through the memories she created with her loved ones. Her impact on the lives of others, through her unwavering positivity and ability to see the best in every situation, will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.Judy is survived by her mother, her husband, children, grandchildren, her sister Sandra (Don), her nephews Jim, Kirk (Sandra), Jason (April), TJ (Kayla), her niece Charlann. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Moore, her sister, Linda Taylor, and brother-in-law, Jim Taylor.Judy had many cousins, extended family and friends that meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed.A memorial service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on Friday, August 16th, 2024 at 11:00am at the Parktown Hotel. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to the ALS Society of Canada.
