It’s with the deepest of sorrow that we are announcing the passing of Jerry W. Cox. He was 63 years of age and he was born August 13th, 1960 in Prince Albert.
He passed away July 9th, 2024 in Saskatoon, SK.
He is survived by his wife Glenna Cox and two daughters; Mariah Cox and Melissa Jansen of Saskatoon, SK and his sister Janet Cox of Vancouver, BC.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter Sydney and Lucy Blanche Cox, as well as his sisters Margret Berthelot and Sharon Schermann of Saskatoon.
Jerry attended school at Comprehensive high school in North Battleford. After attending high school, Jerry enlisted in the army. He served with the Princess Patricia’s Light Infantry in Gagetown, New Brunswick CFB.
After he left the service he settled in Saskatoon. On February 14, 1986 he married Glenna Fairbairn.
The Majority of his work career was at the University of Saskatchewan in facility management. Upon his death, he was working for the City of Saskatoon as a journeyman painter.
He was an exceptional loving husband and father. He would do anything in his power for those he loved. He had a compassionate soul and will be sorely missed.
