Annie May Armstrong
June 3, 1933 — October 15, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mom. She passed away October 15, 2024 in Palliative Care at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
Wife to James Robert and mother to Margaretta Ann. Annie May was devoted to her family. She loved animals, nature, knitting, sewing, and many other crafts. She loved to play accordion, fiddle, and harmonica. Listening to music especially country music from the 40s and 50s.
Annie was born in Gledhow SK just south of Saskatoon on June 3, 1933. She had fond memories of growing up on the farm and then moving to Saskatoon. King George School was where she attended until eighth grade. During her high school years, she attended Tech to graduate grade 12 and move into a job at SaskTel.
She worked at SaskTel from 1952-1988. At the time of her retirement, she was a manager on the business side. The first female in the northern half of the province to reach that position.
She touched many people’s lives throughout her life. She will be missed greatly. Please do not send flowers but consider donating to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan.
