91 Years
Elsie Epp was born on February 27, 1933, to Diedrich and Katherine Epp. She grew up on the family farm and attended school at Hoffnungsort and Rosthern Junior College. She attended the Eigenheim Mennonite Church and was baptized there in 1950. While in Saskatoon, Elsie was a member of Mount Royal Mennonite Church. She had a career working for a bank, first in Meadow Lake, then Prince Albert and Saskatoon.
Elsie and her older sister Elinor, lived together with their father and cared for him in his senior years. In recent years Elsie lived at Bethany Manor and deeply appreciated the community and care that Bethany provided for her. She felt blessed to experience the celebration of her 90th birthday.
Elsie took ill shortly after her 90th birthday and needed more care. She received care at Glengarda Hospice for 3 months and then was at the Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre for the last 9 months.
Her family expresses deep appreciation to the Bethany community as well as Glengarda and Sunnyside for the care she received.
