Our greatly loved Nico passed away at 20 years old on Saturday, March 9, 2024, and leaves behind devastated family and friends. Nico was and still is so loved. Nico was born on August 31, 2003, a beautiful summer day in Regina, Saskatchewan. Nico was a quiet and content baby, and he loved his big sister Olivia more than anything in the world.
Nico had a wonderful childhood doing all the things kids do: running, jumping, climbing, camping, art camps, science camps, summer camp, judo, soccer, swimming, fishing, badminton, skateboarding, and bike riding. More recently, Nico loved coding, cooking for himself and his loved ones, playing pickleball and rock climbing with his sister, and taking care of plants and baking biscotti with his mom. He always loved his friends, sleepovers, late nights, music, gaming, longboarding, problem-solving, walking his dog Norman, and football.
Nico continues to be loved by his mom and sister, Carlie Brentnell and Olivia Burlotti; his stepfather and stepsisters, Chris, Abby, and Hannah Stoppler; his future sister-in-law, Micah Yobb; his father and his father’s girlfriend, Luca Burlotti and Judy Easton; his gramma and grampa, Wanda and Doug Brentnell; his Nonna and Nonno, Silvana and Ken Wood. On his mother’s side, his special Auntie Sarah and Kevin Poole, Auntie Candice and Uncle Jared Brentnell, and Auntie Leena and Uncle Lee Brentnell. On his father’s side, his Aunties Daniella Burlotti and Sabrina Palamara (Pino). His adoring cousins, Pierce, Madelyn, Molly, Scarlett, Hazel, Lincoln, Jasmine, Alexa, Zeke, Eli, Sandro, Angelo, Rayan, and Eliza. Nico is also loved and missed by countless friends and extended family in Canada and Italy.
Nico had so much potential and wanted a long, beautiful life. He deserved better and wanted to keep fighting for greatness.
