Lima May was born on SE 32-46-15-W2 July 28th, 1929. She was pre-deceased by her parents Bow and Bonnie Wasson, 7 siblings and husband Cecil Dorward. She is survived by her children, Adele (George), Bonnie-Lee, Kevin (Joanne), Mark (Tyrone), many grand children, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Lima attended Preston School and as a young girl walked four and a half miles, winter, and summer to school until her father could afford to build a van for winter travel. Her family moved to Ridgedale in 1942. After finishing school, Lima worked for farmers doing housework for $40 a month. Lima and Cecil met as teenagers and were married November 28, 1951. Cecil and Lima raised 4 children on the farm alongside Cecil’s brother Earl and his wife Doreen. Cecil and Lima retired to Prince Albert. Due to health reasons, they both moved to Pineview Terrace to spend their final years.
Lima’s celebration of life will be held at Pineview Terrace @ 11.00am 19th December 2023.
