Laila Kamilla Opseth (nee Larsen)
October 13, 1923 to August 25, 2023
Laila Kamilla Larsen was born in Borge Loften, Norway and immigrated with her family to the South Star District in 1928. She was the oldest daughter of 5, all of whom predeceased her.
In September 1946, Laila married Sigurd Opseth from Hagen district and in 1956 they welcomed Dennis Carl, their chosen son. Mom was a master at everything she did. As a seamstress, a cook or gardener, family and friends always received and enjoyed the very best from her.
Laila leaves to mourn her son, Dennis and his partner, Karen; Vicki Opseth, mother of her two granddaughters – Samantha Opseth and Carlee Adams (Landon).
A private graveside interment will be held at Saron Church in the Hagen district on October 13, 2023 – the day Mom would have been 100 years old!
Anyone wishing to make a donation in Laila’s name, or send flowers, please send to Vicki Opseth, Pineview Care Home, Prince Albert.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729, Paula Hanson, Funeral Director.
