Jeanette Waldner Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love we mourn the passing of Jeanette Shirley Waldner of Smeaton, Saskatchewan on May 3, 2024, at the age of 70 years. She peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family. Jeanette was the eldest daughter born to Marjorie Edna & Stanley Kosik in Nipawin, Saskatchewan August 31, 1953.
Jeanette married the love of her life, Bruce Waldner, on April 29, 1972, and they recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary with family. Their enduring love and commitment were an inspiration to all who knew them. They had 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Jeanette loved her yard and her love for flowers was like no other. Her favorite was the reddest of red geranium. She could always be found sitting watching her shows eating her hickory sticks, in her yard making sure it looked amazing, and it did, or doing books for the home.
Jeanette’s family was at the center of her world. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce, their three children: Cory (Tracey), Abby, Dallas, second born Cheryl (Darrell), Shelby(Colton), Syrrus, Dawson and third born Crystal, Cameron, Jessica, Blake and their dad Buzzy Pocha and cherished by her extended family, including her sisters Donna (Lyle) and Loretta (Greg), brothers-in-law Jack and Jim, in-laws: Marge, Norman & Marge, Violet, Isabel & Larry, Peggy & Don, Roger & Candia as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces, aunts uncles, friends, co-workers, residents and families.
Jeanette dedicated her life to caring for others, demonstrating boundless compassion and generosity. For over 25 years, she worked in home care with Kelsey Trail, and later served for 20 years as the manager at Smeaton & District Care Home, North Haven. Jeanette’s commitment to her work went above and beyond, earning her the admiration of all residents, family and staff. She was known for her kindness and dedication, always going the extra mile to ensure the well-being of those under her care.
Jeanette is predeceased by her parents Stanley and Edna, father and mother-in-law Abe and Tillie, grandson Jordan, sisters Diane and Marilyn, nephew Shane, brothers-in-law: Dennis, Bill, Henry and many aunts and uncles.
We would like to thank the nurses and doctors in Nipawin for the loving care provided to Mom while she was in the hospital, as well as the support offered to family through this ordeal.
At the request of Jeanette there will be no service.
