Harrison Newton Mckay was born on May 28 1986 at Carrot River, SK He passed away peacefully with his wife, children and family beside him on July 5, 2024 at Saskatoon Royal University hospital.
Harrison married Delicia Maria Wendrall Young on June 4, 2010 and together they were blessed with 7 children and one on the way.
Harrison was a loving husband, father brother and a good friend. He had 8 nicknames: Harry, Doink, Brucelee, Baby with the big nose, Mistatim, Beagle Boy, Tracy Mcgrady, Monroe, and he would call himself “The Island Boy”. Harrison went to school up to Grade 11 in Red Earth. He completed his education by completing ABE 12 at Nipawin Cumberland College and also he furthered his education by completing Carpentry at Cumberland College. Harrison’s hobbies were basketball, fishing and hunting with friends and family.
He leaves to treasure his memory, his loving wife: Delicia McKay, his daughters: Delia, Katara, Maria, Otanah, Akia and Anthea his son: Harrison Jr, his adopted children: Grace, Charmaine and Zachrin. his mother: Jean Priscilla Daniels, his adopted mother: Martha Young his brothers: Lorne (Lynver) McKay, Elton (Rosetta) Mckay, Lucus Mckay, Gordan Daniels, Dusty (Sophia) Daniels,. Pisim Daniels, his sisters: Darla (Jarrell) Nawakayas, Gordianne Daniels, Harrina (Kyle) Stewart, Neyanah and Lovelyn Daniels. His brother-in-laws: Terrence McKay, Dave Whitecap, Jeff Mckay, Bertin Whitecap, Presley Whitecap. His special Grandparents:. Patrick (Caroline) Young, His uncles: Samuel (Veronica) Daniels, Bruce Daniels, Shem (Velma) McKay. Harrison was predeceased by his father Harrison Harry Daniels, 3 stillborns, his paternal grandparents Godfrey (Eliza) Daniels, his maternal grandparents Louisa (Ernie) McKay and Duncan Monroe. Maternal great grandparents: Sydney(Betsy Nee Brittan) Moostoos. Paternal great grandparents: Francis (Lucy) Daniels and Amos (Matilda) Nawakayas. His uncles- Leonard (Yvonne) Daniels, Gordan (Thelma) Daniels, William (Gertude) Daniels, Darrell Daniels, Russell Daniels, Lyle Daniels, Orville Nawakayas, Baby Uncle Daniels, Clayton Whitehead. His aunties: Nellie (Reginald) Nawakayas, Verna (Matthias) Mckay, Sally (Benjimen) Kitty, Lizzie Daniels. His sister-in-law: Zacherina Whitecap. Brother-in-law Brett Mckay, cousins: Shari Nawakayas, Elroy Daniels, Ursula Nawakayas and Francis Nawakayas as well as other relatives too numerous to mention.
