Lawrence Dale Ross – July 4, 1985 – March 6, 2024 Lawrence was born on July 4th, 1985 in Saskatoon, SK. He was born to Catherine (Bunka) and Ray Ross and was the younger brother to Elizabeth who was born in 1982. Lawrence grew up in Lloydminster and after the separation of his parents, he moved to Edmonton with his father for a short period. When his father passed away in 1999, Lawrence returned to Lloydminster to live with his mother. He finished his schooling in Lloydminster and graduated from Holy Rosary High School in 2006. Lawrence enjoyed music from an early age and was often seen with a ukulele or guitar in his hands. He enjoyed Metallica and WWE Wresting for many years. He had a great sense of humour and his smile was contagious. He loved the company of his family and friends. Lawrence worked as a casual labourer at a number of businesses in Lloydminster but suffered from physical and mental health issues that prevented him from continuing to work. He became a resident at the Libbie Young Centre in April 2017 where he made many new friends and developed his relationship with God. He was baptized in 2022. Following a steady decline in his health and a series of significant falls, Lawrence was admitted to the Acute Care ward at Lloydminster Hospital where he was assessed for long term care and moved to Heritage Manor I Kindersley, SK in January 2023. Lawrence’s decline continued and he was surrounded by family when he passed away on March 6, 2024. Lawrence was predeceased by his father Ray (1999), his mother Cathy (2013), both sets of grandparents, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth and her three children; Jessica, Jennifer, and Rebecca. He will be dearly missed by many family members and friends. A service in memory of Lawrence will be held at Creech’s Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1 pm in Lloydminster, AB.
