À sa résidence, le 27 novembre 2023, est décédé subitement à l’âge de 78 ans et 10 mois, M. Gaétan Vachon, domicilié à Thetford Mines.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Dominic Vachon (Nancy Couture) et Alexandre Vachon (Priscille Dodier) ainsi que leur mère Mme Georgette Gagnon.
Il demeurera dans le doux souvenir de ses petits-enfants: Anthony, Alexis, Marianne, Charles-Émile et Maggie.
De la famille Vachon, il était le fils de feu Émilio Vachon et de feu Annie Routhier, le frère de: Herby (Marjolaine Breton), Ethel (Pierre Turgeon), Francine (Daniel Lambert) et de feu Luc Vachon.
Sont également touchés par son départ, ses neveux et nièces: Anik Laurin (sa filleule), Cynthia Turgeon, Andrée-Anne Turgeon et feu Stéphane Laurin ainsi que de nombreux autres parents et amis.
Une liturgie de la parole a eu lieu dans l’intimité de la famille.
