It is with great sadness that we announce Lillian’s peaceful passing, with courage, on Friday, March 29, 2024, with her family by her side. Beloved Wife of David Efros. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Howard and Jody Efros, Farla and Mike Muyal, and the late Lynn Efros. Most respected and loved Grandmother of Joshua Efros, Matthew Efros and Arielle Asseraf, and Arielle Muyal. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Rhoda and the late Morty Rappaport, Myra and the late Simon Rappaport, and Bryna and the late William Hersh. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Jerrold Rappaport, Iris and Eric Rappaport, Harold and Amanda Hersh, Elana Hersh, Linda and the late Sheldon Rappaport, Ronnie and the late Joanne Lehrer, Alissa Rappaport, Jacqueline Lehrer, Stephanie and Shimon Gorin, Erin and David Wallach and by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Jewish General Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their dedication and compassion. Graveside service on Monday, April 1, at 12:00 noon at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at Howard’s home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hope & Cope c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251, where Lillian volunteered tirelessly.
