Shui Yuk Chiu est décédée paisiblement dans son sommeil à la maison le 29 décembre 2023 à l’âge de 92 ans. Shui Yuk a été précédée par son mari bien-aimé de 51 ans, Kok On Woo.
Shui Yuk laisse dans le deuil Shirley (James), Ming (Glenda), Tze Ning, Jimmy (Lily) et Henry. Grand-mère chérie de Jason (Ka-Lai), Kevin (Marie), Serena, Kylie, Garrett, Sara (Dustin) et Jeffrey (Yasmine). Arrière-grand-mère adorée de Ryan, Noah, Alex et Christopher.
Shui Yuk laisse également dans le deuil son jeune frère, Chieh Hui Chao, à Vancouver. Elle manquera cruellement à sa famille élargie et à ses amis.
Née le 19 avril 1931 à Toisan, Guangdong, Chine, elle a rencontré et épousé son mari avant de s’installer à Hong Kong. Ils ont ensuite immigré à Montréal en 1959. Tout au long de sa vie, elle a été une couturière habile et talentueuse.
Elle était passionnée par son jardin potager et la cuisine. Il y avait toujours de la nourriture en abondance pour tout le monde.
La famille recevra les condoléances le 5 janvier 2024 de 13h00 à 14h00. L’inhumation aura lieu à 15h00 au cimetière Mont-Royal.
