It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Arsenault at the Centre d’hébergement Denis-Benjamin-Viger, on February 4th, 2024, at the age of 91.
Lorraine was born on June 6th, 1932 in St-Leonard, Madawaska, New Brunswick. She was the eldest daughter of the late Alire Arsenault and Alma Beaulieu and sibling to the late Ronald (Hélène), Maxine (Pat) and Geraldine (Tom). She is survived by her siblings Jeannine and Norbert (Brigitte), her daughter Nathalie (Rick) and her many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was a talented pianist and throughout her life, followed her passion to study music. She settled in the West Island of Montreal with her daughter Nathalie. She taught piano from her home and music at Rosemount High School for 25 years where she and her students enjoyed many international performances. In her retirement she continued to follow her passions of traveling, her love of music and time with her family and friends.
Those whose lives were touched by Lorraine, know how compassionate, kind, strong and generous she was. Nathalie, her family and friends, including her dear colleagues and students, will miss her dearly.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Centre d’hébergement Denis-Benjamin-Viger for their care and compassion, which allowed her passing with dignity and serenity.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 24th, 2024. Calling hours from 10am to 11am with the mass at 11am, at the Sainte-Geneviève Catholic Church, 16037 Boul. Gouin O, Sainte-Geneviève, QC, H9H 1C7.
Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at Voluntas Commémoration Funeral Home at 4695 Boul. St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, H9H 2A7, from 12:30 to 4:30PM.
