1943 – 2023
It is with deepest sympathy we announce the sudden passing of Peter Fortier, who passed away on December 17, 2023 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Glenda Berndt and father of Steven (Nathalie), dear grandfather of Christopher, Xavier and Erika and 3 great grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his sister Ann and his brother Bill. He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law Charlie, Reid & Neil, sisters-in-law Irma & Beulah, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Bill & Rose, his brother Paul and his brothers-in-law Cliff & Jim.
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Hôpital de Papineau, Gatineau (Buckingham sector) for the wonderful care they provided for Peter.
Special thanks to Irma and Fran for their tremendous help.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life which will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall, 176 Joseph Street, Gatineau, QC (Buckingham sector).
