Margaret Shirlaw passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on Saturday, September 14th, with her family by her side. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and was preceded in death by her husband, Ian in 1986.
Margaret retired after many years with the Montreal General Hospital and spent her retirement years traveling and making lasting memories with friends and family. She especially enjoyed the “Birthday Club”, formed with close friends to celebrate each other’s birthdays with a luncheon.
She is survived by her son, Tom Shirlaw and his wife, Deb of Calgary and a daughter, Pamela McCargar and her husband, Randy of Florida, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00pm on October 26th at J.C. Cardinal Funeral Home in Dorval with a reception following. A private internment at Mount Royal Cemetery is planned.
