Surbek, Stefica 1926 – 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Stefica Surbek, on July 21, 2024, at the age of 97.
Stefica is survived by her nieces Jelka (Janko) Brajak, Anica Kozic and her nephew Vitomir (Andja) Golek. She will also be deeply missed by her great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she helped raise like if they were her own grand-children, Mike (Camilla), Mary (Mike), Hrvoje (Marijana), Vlado (Nicole), Mario (Erica), Johnny, as well as their children who were like her great-grand children Léa, James, Sam, Antun, Luka, Matej, Dominik, Natalie, Josip and Sofia.
She will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends in Canada as well as in Croatia. Stefica was preceded in death by her parents Kata and Ivan, her sisters Marija (Andrija), Dragica (Stjepan), Andjelka (Vladimir) and her nephews, Ivan Golek, Vlado and Franjo Kozic.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 15, 2024 at 11:30 am at St-Nicholas Tavelic (Croatian) Church, 4990, Place de la Savane, and thence, to the Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Hôpital de Lachine for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in the memory of Stefica Surbek to the St.Nicholas Tavelic church.
