The family of Lorraine Swinton are saddened to announce her sudden passing on October 25, 2024 in Sutton, Quebec. Lorraine is survived by her two brothers, Ron (Linda) Jones and family of Okotoks, Alberta, and David Jones of Toronto, Ontario, as well as cousins Grant (Carol) Swinton; Ian Swinton; and families. Lorraine also enjoyed her friendships with Linda, Kelly and Molly.
Lorraine graduated high school from Howard S. Billings in Chateauguay, Quebec. After high school Lorraine went on to obtain her Teaching Degree from McGill University.
She was inducted into the Howard S. Billings Alumni Sports Hall of Fame for Basketball in 1990.
Lorraine had a very artistic side with painting, drawing and various creative mediums. She enjoyed yoga and her yoga community, travelling to India and Costa Rica in her later years. Lorraine enjoyed playing bingo and being a member of the Sons of Scotland Association, as she was very proud of her Scottish heritage.
Lorraine was a very kind and loving person and will be greatly missed.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
