Dear Tony, Michael, Laura, in-laws, grandchildren, and Nugget, Sharing in your deep sorrow on the passing of your beloved Anne Gal Carfagnini, taken too soon. There are no words to describe the sadness I feel at her passing, which pales in comparison to your sadness on the loss of such a beautiful kind soul who was such a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother and dog person. Till the last I prayed for a miracle for my dear friend. Though we knew each other but three years, we were connected in many ways, beginning with our shared half-Finnish heritage and broadening from there. Our meetings at the hospital were filled with smiles and hope, laughter and shared commonalities, and excursions into shops, discovering products scented with Lily of the Valley, the national flower of Finland. Anne will always be remembered and always missed. May you and your family be spared any further sorrow. Rachel Alkallay
I worked with Ann at the Montreal General Hospital from 1985 -1997 and remember her as an amazing professional and also a wonderful human being, a team member, a leader and a warm person who wanted to contribute to her patients and to her team members.
I share the pain of those who were close to her, her family and close friends
