Peacefully with family by his side at Secord Trails on Friday November 8th, 2024 in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of Arlene (McCarthy) Szyjka for 63 years. Loving Dad of Kelly Ann (1962), Vicki (Bob) Rivest, Kim (Charlie) Cowell, Carrie (Jeff) Aylwin. Cherished Grandpa of Jessie (Liam) Rivest, Allie (Michael) Rivest, Emily (Matt) Cowell, Marshall (Heather) Cowell, Jesse (Sarah) Aylwin, Katie (Parker) Yungblut. Great G’pa to Walter & Porter Cowell, Bowen Yungblut.
Born in Olyka Poland, together with his parents Antonio, Antonina and brother Richard immigrated to Canada in 1949. Vic worked at Fisher Controls for 42 years as a Machinist and proud Business owner of Victor’s Photography for 10 years. In his retirement Vic enjoyed woodworking, falling asleep at his computer, and relished in his Grandfather duties.
Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Wednesday November 13 from 11am -1 pm with a memorial service at 1 pm.
Memorial donations in Vic’s memory to CMHA or Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides would be appreciated.
