Mable Koot on Saturday, April 20, in her 93 year, after a long battle with cancer that she fought with such a passion, passed away pain free and peacefully at Sakura House.
Mother of Bill (Jane), Fred (Debb), John (Bonnie), Mary (Enzo), and Joanne (Len). Oma to 9 Grand Children and Great Oma to 9 Great Grandkids. Mable will now be reunited with her husband John who predeceased her 1988. Mable is the last remaining member of her family. Sister-in-law to Betty, Cathy (Andy), Joanne (Harry), Joseph (Joanne), Sister Sophia and Dinah.
Mable was a CWL member and was recently awarded her 50-year pin. She was given an award for volunteer of the year thru the Moose Lodge. She was active in meals on wheels, she was always ready to help out in any way she could. We would like to thank Cousin Joanne and Father Peter who went above and beyond with Moms spiritual needs. You were literally God sent. The staff at Sakura House, words cannot express our gratitude at how well mom was taken care of. You all are true angels.
Guests will be received at Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, Woodstock, on Wednesday, April 24, between 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Life Centre.
