John Elwin Smith passed away at home in Beachville, Ontario on Tuesday June 18, 2024. Loving father of Jesse Smith (Catherine Arruda), stepfather to Amanda Miller (Ryan Miller), Cody Masson (Jenna Mackinnon); step-grandfather to Hayden and Emerson.
Survived by his brother, Kelly Smith (Trina Smith) of Woodstock; sisters Donna Gower (John Gower) of Woodstock, Dale Turner (Don Turner) of Embro, Della Kiertucki (Robert Kiertucki) of Woodstock/British Columbia and Judy Wilhelm of London. Fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Predeceased by his mother Mary Smith; brothers, Douglas Smith and Barry Smith.
John, also known as “Fever”, meant so much to many people. He loved his family, spending time with friends, of which he had many, and hunting. A skilled craftsman, known for his incredible work ethic, huge heart, and a fantastic cook. He will be deeply missed.
Family will receive visitors at Brock & Visser Funeral Home in Woodstock on Friday July 5, 2024 between the hours of 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm. Service to be held on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 1:00pm with reception to follow, also at Brock & Visser Funeral Home.
