With sadness the family of Joan Marie Riley (nee Miller) announce her passing on May 18, 2024 in Kitchener, Ontario.
Predeceased by her loving husband David M. Riley (June 2023). Dearly loved mother of Penny Riley (Jeff Matthews) and adoring grandmother of Kyle and Kendra Matthews. Joan is survived by her brother Bruce Miller (Dianne) and sister Janice Newell (John Mott). She is also survived by the extended Miller and Riley families.
Joan was born in Clinton, Ontario on June 26, 1956 to the late Keith and Vera Miller. Joan and Dave were married in Bayfield in December 1975 and lived their married years in Kitchener, Ontario. She was a homemaker and enjoyed tending to a large number of beautiful houseplants. She adored animals and parrots, always providing exceptional care for her pets.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no public visitation or service.
To honour Joan Riley’s life, the family suggests a memorial donation to your local Humane Society or animal shelter and would be appreciated.
