Jean Robin (nee Delaney), 83, a cherished loved one of many, passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on June 24th, 2024.
Beloved wife of the late Jacques (2013) and devoted mother to André (Wendy) of Moncton, NB, and Kevin of Woodstock, ON. Adored Nanny to Gabrielle, Alexander, and Christopher. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Jean was a dedicated, lifelong Catholic, deeply involved at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. She grew up in Bay Roberts, NL, where she discovered her passion for teaching. She was an avid gardener where she found great joy. Jean was a sweet, loving lady who was even able to find her life partner despite sharing no common language (French Canadian husband). Always ready for an adventure, she called many places home, including Canada (proud Canadian), Newfoundland, Whitehorse, Montreal, Fermont, Petawawa and Rajmahal, India.
She touched many lives with her generosity and remarkable party planning. Eventually settling in Woodstock, Jean continued to live life to the fullest. She was always eager to meet her cherished friends for their Millionaire’s Lunch at KFC, share a great joke or a lively story, show her garden, and finally find her way to her grandchildren. She loved her family and friends, who are all immensely grateful for the joy she brought into their lives.
Thank you to Father Dariusz, Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, Dr. Binh Vu, Woodstock Hospital, and all those who came to visit – till we meet again.
Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON, on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 am with Fr. Dariusz Jagodzinski as celebrant. Burial to follow Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Guests are invited back to the Parish Hall for a reception and time of continued fellowship.
