Gabrielle (Gail/Gabby/GG) Theresa Klassen – Passed away peacefully at the amazing age of 96 on Friday, November 8, 2024.
Gail was born to George and Delphine Beaucage May 10, 1928 in Kapuskasing, Ontario. She grew up in Sudbury with siblings Irene (Louie), Jill (Richard), Gerry (Freda), Henry (Carol).
Sudbury is where she married Leslie Klassen and raised their 5 children. Gabrielle is predeceased by her husband Leslie, sons Larry and Randy. Gail is survived by her 3 daughters Marlene, Pauline and Cathy, daughter-in-law Darlene and sons-in-law Bob, Claxton, Brian. GG is survived by 7 grandchildren Jeff, James, Amanda, Johanna, Trevor, Jenn, Jason, along with 8 great-grandchildren Sylus, Cooper, Ainsley, Hudson, Harley, Evelyn, Hendrix, and Abigail. Aunt Gail is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Sudbury, Gail worked many years alongside her husband running a family business, Klassen Distributors. She also used her talent and passion as a seamstress working at a fur store. They later moved to Brampton where she retired from Sheridan College.
Gail enjoyed traveling to visit her beloved Klassen family in Saskatchewan. While retired in Brampton and Woodstock you could find Gail playing the game of golf, where she accomplished two Hole-In-Ones.
In recent years Gabby lived nearby Randy, Darlene and family at Russell Meadows Retirement Residence.
Thank-you to Russell Meadows for giving Gabby a place to play her favorite game of bridge, continue to enjoy her love to dance, knit, paint, play bingo, and meet new friends in her final years.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga.
A special thank-you to Sebastian, Jessica, the doctors and nursing staff at Winchester Hospital for making Gabrielle’s final days comfortable and peaceful.
