Brian Anthony Obituary
Brian Anthony, passed away peacefully on the 19th of March, 2024, in Woodstock, Ontario, after a life well-lived. Born on November 23, 1949, in the scenic Codroy Valley, Newfoundland, Brian’s journey through life was one marked by the joy he found in the simple pleasures and the warmth he brought to those around him.
Brian’s passion for the great outdoors was evident in his love for fishing, a hobby that provided him with both solace and adventure. An ardent sports fan, he dedicated many an afternoon cheering for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, his spirit and enthusiasm for the games as unwavering as his loyalty to his teams. Brian’s love for Country Western Music often filled the rooms of his home with heartfelt melodies, creating an atmosphere of comfort and nostalgia.
Family was the cornerstone of Brian’s world. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his sons Thomas and his wife Lorie and Ron, his grandchildren Atia, Shania, and Kayden, his sister Evelyn, and his many nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his parents George and Phoebe, six brothers and a sister, with whom he now reunites.
Family and friends will be received at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1pm to 2pm. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel at 2pm. As per Brian’s wishes cremation has taken place.
In memory of Brian, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Lung Association.
