It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Modesto Rizzi, who left us on August 2nd, 2024, at the age of 84. Modesto was a devoted husband to Dina for 50 wonderful years, a loving father to Paola (Chris) and Stefania (Fabio), and a cherished Nonno to his beloved grandchildren, Isabella, Monica, and Adam.
Modesto will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Silverio, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be missed by family and friends alike.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Modesto’s honour to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road, 905.850.9500). Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, August 6th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on, Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. and conducted at Immaculate Conception Parish (300 Ansley Grove Rd., Woodbridge, On..). Immediately following Modesto’s Funeral Mass an Entombment Service will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (7300 Hwy 27, Woodbridge, On.)
