On June 4, 2024 Gennaro (Gino) Casinelli passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 31, 1936 in Arpino, Frosinone, Italy, Gino lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a deep love for his family and friends. He is now reunited in heaven with his wife of 60 years, Maria.
Gino was a devoted and proud father to Larry (Joanne) and Vera (Tony) and grandfather to Robert (Stephanie), Adam (Alexa), Laura, Julia (Nicholas), and Alessia (Alexander). He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Marco, Daniel, Mia, and Ava. His family was his pride and joy, and he spent countless hours sharing stories, wisdom, and laughter with them. His legacy of love and compassion will live on through them.
His memory will be cherished by his dear sister, Santa, and he will forever remain “Zio” in the hearts of his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all the caregivers and loved ones who surrounded Gino with comfort and compassion in his final days especially at Universal Care in Richmond Hill. Your kindness will always be remembered and appreciated.

Visitations for Gennaro have been entrusted to the DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road. 905.850.9500) and will commence on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. and conducted at St. David’s Parish (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr., Maple, On.).
Immediately following Gennaro’s Mass, an entombment service will take place at Highland Memorial Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Lane, Toronto, On.)
