Obituary of Madeline Laffin
At St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday, February 12, 2024, Mrs. Madeline Theresa (Benedict) Laffin of Blyth passed away peacefully at the age of 71.
Devoted wife of Harold Laffin. Loving mom of her five sons, William & Rachael, Michael & Jess, Matthew & Tiffany, Patrick & Cheryl and Sean & Amanda. Cherished grandma of Bria, Jase, Carly, Cole, Cian, Eric, Andrew, Brooke, Jordyn, Lincoln, Natalie, Hope and Emilia. Dear sister of Herbert & Karen Benedict. Sister-in-law of Ann Marie & George Desveaux, Eileen & Ray Carrigan, Patrick & Norina Laffin. Maddy will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Herbert Benedict & Theresa (Halley) Benedict Barrett, step-father Eric Barrett, sisters Betty Vollmer and Dianne Benedict, brothers Gerald and Ronald Benedict, parents-in-law Patrick & Mary Laffin, brother-in-law David Laffin and his wife Myra.
A Celebration of Maddy’s life will be held on her birthday, Saturday, June 15th, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Belgrave Community Centre.
Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
