Obituary of Jim & Karen Dickison
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Jim and Karen Dickison, who left this world together on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 as the result of an automobile accident, just as they had lived their lives—side by side.
Their greatest joy in life was their children, whom they cherished above all else. Jim and Karen were dedicated parents to Stephanie & Devrick Cunningham of Listowel, Danielle & Jaron Townsend of Listowel and Dustin Dickison of St. Catharines. They poured their hearts and souls into raising their family with love, patience, and wisdom. They instilled in their children the values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they are today. But their love didn’t stop there. With the arrival of their grandson, Wallace Cunningham, Grammy and Grumps found a new source of joy and purpose. They doted on him endlessly, showering him with love, laughter, and countless memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
Jim and Karen will be dearly missed by Karen’s siblings; Kathy Dickison, Brad Foxton, Kim & Rick Timm and Trudy Wilhelm & Steve Marks and also by their many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and their families.
They are predeceased by Jim’s parents Dalton & Florence Dickison and his brother Dan Dickison, Karen’s parents Bruce & Grace Foxton and nephew Jamie Dickison.
Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Tuesday, March 19th from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Parkison Society would be appreciated.
