Obituary of Helen Ann Armstrong
At Wingham & District Hospital on Monday, March 4, 2024, Helen Ann Armstrong of Wingham, passed away at the age of 79.
Daughter of the late Bert & Verda (Procter) Armstrong. Loving sister-in-law of Harold Smits of Wingham. Cherished aunt of Peter & Monica Smits of Wingham, Paul & Linda Smits of Whitechurch and Mary & Greg Crawford of Wingham. Great-aunt of Carlin, Clay, Chase and Emma and great-great-aunt of Kinslee. Predeceased by her only sister Mary Alice Smits in 2007.
Helen Ann’s hands were magic wands, effortlessly knitting anything her heart desired. However, her talents extended well beyond yarn, manifesting in her ability to decorate and style her surroundings. Every room bore witness to her artistic touch, adorned with carefully chosen decor that spoke volumes of her keen eye for style. Helen Ann’s heart was a haven for animals, she shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Snoopy who was not just a cat but a cherished presence in her life. Snoopy was a constant source of comfort and joy for Helen Ann and will miss her terribly.
A private service with interment will take place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
