Peter passed away after a brief illness, peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends on August 23, 2024 at 93 years of age.
Peter was born in East Windsor on February 9, 1931, to the late Nicholas and Alexandra Remdenok. Predeceased by his wife of 63 years Leona (nee McClintic). Loving father to Randy (Sandy), Rick (Sue) and Robert. Dear Grandfather to Andrew. Peter is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Sue, Judy, Zach and the staff at Hospice for their invaluable assistance.
Peter enlisted in the army in February of 1951 with a friend (Mel Lewis) and they have remained lifelong friends. Peter had a long career with London Life Insurance and retired as Sales Manager In 1988. He was a proud longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 255.
Peter enjoyed sailing, woodworking, canoeing, flying and fishing.
If you so desired memorial donations can be made to Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2024 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm with a Veterans Memorial Service under the auspices of Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee. Visiting will resume on Thursday August 29, 2024 from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am at Families First South Windsor (3260 Dougal Ave 519-969-5841).
