Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the age of 91.
Loving husband of Teresa for 60 years. Devoted Father of Ralph (Vanessa) and Mario (Millie Ann). Proud Nonno of Logan, Isabella, Paitton, and Logan. Dear brother of Raffaele (Margherita) Barberio, Sarafina (Giuseppe) Guzzetti, Rosarina (Giueseppe) Paonessa, Olimpia Barberio, Filomena (Natale) Paonessa, and Margherita (Pasquale) D’Accriscio. He will also be missed by all nieces, nephews and family in Windsor, Toronto, and Italy.
Luigi retired from Chrysler after many years of dedicated service. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed playing Bocce Ball at the Caboto Club. His greatest passions were gardening and spending time with family and friends. Special Thanks goes to the staff at Erie Shores Hospice and to private care nurses, Nicole and Nourra, for all the devoted care and compassion they provided to us.
Donations in memory of Luigi may be made to the Erie Shores Hospice.
Visitation will take place at Families First in South Windsor, 3260 Dougall Ave. 519-969-5841, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 3 – 5 & 7- 9 pm with parish prayers at 4:30 pm. Visiting will continue on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
