Gerald Durocher passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on February 13, 2024.
Loving husband of Laurie Durocher for 66 years, and son of Alfred and Fredaline Durocher. Brother of Jane Pelletier and the late Norman Durocher and Gloria Meloche. Proud father of Mike (Christine) and Cherie (Rob) Mackie. Proud pepe to Jeff (Andrea), Adam (Cheryl), Justin (Shelby), Kyle, Kaitlin and Jackie (Mike). He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Lincoln, and Samuel, with one on the way in May.
Gerry was very active in the local business community through his management positions in Samco Radio and Electronics, Wayne Transportation and Es Auto Sales. He loved watching sporting events such as tennis, golf and his beloved Detroit Lions. Gerry and Laurie enjoyed travelling in their younger years, particularly to the Caribbean. His family, and his love for his wife, Laurie, were always the most important things to Gerry.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seasons Royal Oak Village for their care and support.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a future date.
