FISHER, Virginia Evelyn “Ginny” – passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Welland Hospital on Friday, January 5, 2024 in her 78th year. Beloved wife of James “Jim” Fisher. Loving mother of Lana Lafleur (Jeff) and cherished grandmother of Craig Laro (Nikki). Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Evelyn Winkworth and brothers Chuck and Gerald Winkworth. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Ginny had worked at General Tire for 30 years and was retired for 30 years. She enjoyed her family dinners and watching NASCAR. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Myrtle Beach with her husband Jim. Private arrangements entrusted to the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com.
