SLATTERY (nee Lindley), Susan – passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Monday, December 11, 2023 in her 80th year. Loving mother of Alicia Continenza (Jason Continenza) and Sara Slattery (Tom Johnson). Cherished grandmother of Daniella Continenza, Hailey Slattery, Hannah Slattery and Max Johnson. Dear sister of Elizabeth Armstrong, Cathy Rivard (Tom), Virginia Root (Doug) and the late Carol Pare. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Susan was a RN graduating in 1968. She worked at the St. Catharines General Hospital retiring the late 1990’s. After her retirement she worked as an on-call nurse for special cases and as a teaching assistant at Brock University. Family was everything to Susan, she enjoyed spending her time taking care of her granddaughters along with reading her books and listening to her rock and roll music. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. where a service to celebrate her life will be held in the Cudney Chapel at 3 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Gillian’s Place would be appreciated by the family.
