SHENNAN, Robert Harold – passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the St. Catharines Hospital on Monday, May 20, 2024 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Annie (nee Madden) (1999). Loving father of Jacqueline Gutenberg (Bennett) and David Shennan (Lynn). Cherished grandfather of Kirstie Aube (Alain), Dane Shennan, Meaghan Gutenberg (Jacqueline) and Lily Shennan. Dear great grandfather of Ava and Annie Aube and Brooks Gutenberg-Parker. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Constance Kilgour (Robert), sister-in-laws Jacqueline Shennan, Helen Gilks, Helen Madden (Nigel) and James Madden, niece Anita Djurkovic (Alex). Predeceased by his brother Frank and sister Sandra Shennan. Robert was an avid golfer and loved camping and fishing. He enjoyed baseball and hockey, cheering on the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, even catching a ball at a Blue Jays game. Robert was a member of the Board of Session with Knox Presbyterian Church and a dedicated officer with the Niagara Regional Police for 35 years. Robert will be remembered most as a friend to many and a devoted family man whose greatest pride was his family. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 3 to 7 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Saturday, May 25 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
