Surka, Richard – Surrounded by the love of his family, Richard passed away at the St Catharines Hospital on Monday, January 22nd, 2024 at 84 years of age. Beloved husband of Diana (nee Balaz) for 58 years. Loving father of Derek (Charrissa) and Mark (Christa).
Cherished grandfather of Jackson, Liam, Abby, Brody, and Theo. He is also survived by cousins in Canada and Lithuania. Rick was a long-time employee of John Deere and was a former President of both the Kinsmen Club of Welland and the Welland Minor Hockey Association. He loved to curl and golf in his younger days.
Following Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No visitation.
