ECKER, Michael Dennis – It is with deep sadness the family of Michael Ecker announces his passing on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the age of 36. He passed away as he wished, at home with his family by his side. Beloved son of Kevin Sr. and Shelley Ecker. Dear brother of Kevin Jr. (Isabelle). Loving uncle of Damien, Kayleigh and Jaelyn. Dear grandson of Ina Sodtka (late Charles) and Jeanette Ecker (late Robert “Bob”). He will be lovingly remembered by his uncles Dennis Sodtka (Yvonne) and Tim Sodtka (Kathy), aunt Lorie Ecker-Hyma (Anna) and many cousins. Special thanks to our dear friend Judy for all you have done for us. Thank you also to the staff and co-ordinators at St. Elizabeth Health Care for their kindness and to the palliative EMS team. Michael has gone to join his best friend and uncle “Buck” Butch and all the other family members that predeceased him. He will be remembered as a kind person who enjoyed the quiet life at home playing video games. In memory of Michael and honouring his love of animals, the family recommends donations be made to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society.
