HOLT, Mary – it is with great sadness that the family of Mary Holt announces her passing at the Welland Hospital on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Dennis, her siblings Larry (Jeanne), Sue Cox (Drew) and Mike (Teresa), step mother Sara Doucet and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Leo and Eileen Doucet and brother Mark. Mary was born in Welland and remained a lifelong resident. She was past Secretary of Welland Youth 10 Pin Bowling Association and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4 Women’s Auxiliary. The family wishes to thank the Welland Hospital Woolcott Wing staff for their excellent care of Mary. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12 to 3 p.m. with words of remembrance at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
