SZALINSKI, Joseph – Passed away at the Welland Hospital on Friday, October 25th, 2024 at 82 years of age. Loving husband of Judy of 48 years. Survived also by his sister Pat Szalinski and brother-in-law Ken Krawchuk (Serena) of the U.S. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary Szalinski and nephew Larry Dixon. Joe worked at Fleet Industries for many years and made long lasting friendships. Before that he was a mechanic with Ray Turgeon for many years. In retirement he kept very busy creating and tinkering in his garage. Joe had a passion for model railroading and always had a helping hand for anyone that needed it. Joe was active in his Church, St. David’s Anglican of Welland. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially his beloved wife Judy. The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Welland Hospital for looking after Joe so well. Following Joseph’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. David’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
