GRESPAN, Joseph Anthony – It is with profound sadness the family of Joseph Grespan announces his passing, after a yearlong battle with cancer, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the age of 73. Predeceased by his parents Gene and Florence Grespan and wife Lina Grespan. Loving father of Angela DiCato (Kevin), Amy Auther (Dan) and Aaron Grespan (Sossi). Cherished grandfather of Benson DiCato, Ella “Scunettes” and Scarlett Auther and Sophia Grespan. Much loved brother of Mary Benita Perez (Gavino). Loving nephew of Lillian Santone and dear uncle of Carmen (Patti), Jilda (Jay), Michael (Christina) and Rachel and great uncle of Nicholas, Michael and Gianni. He will be lovingly remembered by his special friend Suzanne, and many cousins and friends. Joe enjoyed Formula 1 racing and was as an avid golfer and member at Lookout Point. He enjoyed his winters in Florida, cigars, wine, brandy and cognac and his ATV trips with friends. Joe enjoyed working on things and will always be remembered as a kind friend who loved to help others with their projects, cutting grass, cleaning eavestrough or servicing their Kubota. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin, 303 Niagara Street, Welland on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
