FRASER, Jack – Jack Fraser passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Shorthills Retirement Villa in Fonthill. Jack was predeceased by his sisters, Maureen and Katherine. He is survived by his nephews, Duane, David and Terry and by great-nephews and great-nieces. Jack most recently taught at the Technology Department at Niagara College. Previously he had worked as an engineer at Atomic Energy of Canada. He loved his time teaching in the Caribbean, especially in Trinadad and Tobago. He was an adventurer who loved to travel and he had friends throughout the Caribbean and Europe with whom he visited. Many thanks to the agencies and individuals who helped Jack, including Ontario Health at Home’s Palliative Care Team, St. Elizabeth Healthcare nurses, Sandra’s Home Health Care (Sarah), ParaMed PSWs, Right at Home nurses and VON nurses. Thanks also to Trung, who provided companionship and prayers and to Juanita from Seniors on the Move, who supported both Jack and Kay throughout the pandemic and beyond. Extra special and sincere heartfelt thanks to the outstanding and wonderful staff at Shorthills Retirement Villa. Each of you helped Jack through tremendously difficult days and gave him comfort and support. You made the end of his life much better by your kindness. There is a special place in heaven for all of you. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Salvation Army or your favourite charity. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service in the Cudney Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
