Obituary of Ingram Grappie
It is with deepfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Ingram Edwin Grappie, who departed this life on December 21, 2024, at his home in Welland, Ontario. Born on December 8, 1959, in the beautiful island of Grenada, Ingram lived a life of love, family, and resilience.
Ingram was the devoted husband of Janet (Bibi) Hossein, who stood by his side through life’s many joys and challenges. He was a proud and loving father to his five children: Anthony McIntyre, Sheresha McIntyre, Deshaun Grappie, Jahnae Grappie, and Shentah Grappie, all of whom shall carry forward his legacy of grit and determination.
His mother Lucita Cherebin (Grappy), along with his brothers Glen Cherebin, Chris Cherebin, and Greg Cherebin, will remember his humor, wisdom, and loyalty. Ingram will be missed by all of his extended family – sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Ingram’s journey was one of love, resilience, and his entrepreneurial attitude. Ingram’s passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. We will miss his generous spirit, entertaining stories and positivity.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, RECEPTION AND CREMATION CENTRE. The family will hold a private celebration of Ingram’s life in Welland, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to The Kidney Foundation.
Rest in peace, Ingram. Your life was a blessing, and your memory will be cherished forever.
