CATHERWOOD, Catharine “Kaye” – Passed away peacefully at the Extended Care Unit of the Welland General Hospital on Thursday November 23, 2023 at the age of 100. Beloved and loving mother of Judith ‘Judy’ Greenwell (Butch Hummell) and Sandy Smith. Special Nana to Jeffrey (Jennifer) Greenwell and loving Nanny to Jacob and Lucas. She leaves behind her children and their families as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Sarah Watson, Doreen Stocks, son-in-law Joe Greenwell and her best friends Barbara Gillies and Joan Gaede. Kaye had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest, she was loving, generous and enjoyed spending time with her family. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, for a Celebration of Life on Friday December 1, 2023 from 12 to 2 pm. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Kaye, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Society of Canada or the Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Center), and would be appreciated.
