STORIE, J. Calvin – of Welland passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 96th year. “It is said that life is but a journey and I have made that journey surrounded by family and friends. Don’t be sad, think of me when you see a sunrise, a sunset, pick a flower or pass a golf course. For I have loved all of these. I want no tears or gloom filled rooms as I complete my journey. Miss me with a smile on your face and drink a toast to the celebration of my life.” Calvin was the beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Tkach) for 67 years. Loving father of Allen Storie (Cathy) and predeceased by his daughter Debra. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Alex) and loving great grandfather of Wesley. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy Joynt (Robert). Calvin was employed with Gen Corp. Auto for 43 years in various managerial positions. He was a volunteer with the Welland Fire Company #3 and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4. A private service was held at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland.
